Introduction to the company

Just In Time Transportation is a provider of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Ohio. The company is owned by Rev. Dr. David Rex Orgen with an office at 5900 Roche Drive, Columbus OH, 53229.

Communication channels

We regularly communicate with drivers via the following means:

  1. WhatsApp texts and calls (trip dispatching)
  2. Direct phone call (614-809-4451 — administration)
  3. SMS (614-809-4451 — administration)

Dispatch

  1. Available trips are dispatched to drivers based on availability of trips as well as availability of the driver.
  2. Trip information is shared to the driver’s WhatsApp dispatch page, dedicated to trips done by that particular driver. A sample will be shared for the applicant to see.

Trip rates & acceptance

  1. The full trip rate is included in the trip information so the driver can see how much the trip (to the appointment and back) pays in total.
  2. Trip rates are based on the mileage between pick-ups and drop-offs.
  3. Drivers are not paid for wait times. Regular appointments take between 1 and 2 hours. Drivers may continue to do other trips while their members are at their appointment.
  4. When members are done with their appointment, the driver will be notified for their return ride back home (a will call). Drivers have within one hour of receiving the will call to pick the member up.
  5. Drivers are required to contact all their members via call or text the day before, and the morning before going to pick up the member.
  6. It is the driver’s responsibility to carry out every trip they have accepted. Failing to do so places members at health risk by causing them to miss their appointments, and comes with repercussions.

Completed trip verification & payment schedule

  1. Trips completed successfully must have the signatures of the members that were picked up, sent to the designated dispatch WhatsApp page. Trips done without signatures will not be billed.
  2. Drivers must accept or reject trips at least 24 hours before the trip. Otherwise they may be penalized, including but not limited to fines, reduced trips, or removal from the platform.
  3. Completed trips go through an audit process to ensure the trip was done. All cleared trips are paid in weekly batches, 21 to 28 days after the trip is completed.
  4. Payment is made via either of the following channels:
    • Cash App ($200 and below)
    • Bank transfer (Kemba Bank only — preferred)

Tax

All drivers are independent contractors who pay their own taxes under a 1099, and therefore do not fill a W-2 form.

Vehicle & gas

Drivers do trips using their own vehicle and gas.

Conduct

Drivers are expected to be very professional in their work: very kind and gentle, yet discreet and formal.

Organizational structure

  1. Rev. Dr. David Rex Orgen (Dr. O) is the president, founder and owner of the company. He is also the one who disburses payments to drivers based on billing.
  2. Pastor Bernard Adu-Danso (Ps. B) is the Administrative Head. His department oversees driver registration and training, trip dispatching, monitoring, billing and complaints. Trip coordinators are always on standby to communicate with drivers concerning any trip.
